Tournament is 7-rounds, 3-move style
Registration 9:15 a.m. Saturday. Play begins 9:30 a.m.
For reservations, call (724) 748-9920. Mention you are with the Checker Club to receive the group rate for the weekend. Rates (excluding tax) are $58.65-single, $67.15-double, and 75.65 single–suite. It is suggested to make your reservations by May 31, when the block is released. The Inn is located 0.5 mile west of I-79 Exit 113.

Congratulations to Alex Moiseyev for winning the tournament, and to newcomer (and new ACF member) Laverne Wray as new PA and District 3 champion.

Tournament was a 3-Move, 7 rounds of Round Robin, scored by game.

T separates players' opponent from Players' accumulated game points for that round.

Near the end of the tournament, Alex (at his own suggestion) played two opponents simultaneously to get all the round-robin games completed on schedule. He needed to win an ending in the last game for sole possession of first place.

Ed Bruch visited the tournament and donated $50. Prize fund was $310.

simultaneously so their 6 & 7th rounds would be finished on time.
